Scope of works : This project features a cutting-edge 24MWdc solar farm spanning 80 acres. The project’s impressive output translates to providing the energy needs of 5,063 homes annually. ESK’s scope of works on this project was the construction of the 38kV substation and compound, site access roads and the 300m grid connection to transfer the clean energy onto the grid
Scope of works : This 4MW solar farm project highlights ESK’s expertise in delivering essential infrastructure for renewable energy. ESK’s scope of work included the construction of the substation, a 600m grid connection route, and access roads, ensuring seamless integration of clean energy into the grid.
Scope of works : ESK prepared a greenfield site for the construction of a modular 38kV substation, including necessary clearing and levelling. The project involved constructing the substation and assembling and installing prefabricated components. Additionally, we completed all related civil works, including foundation construction, trenching, and ducting, ensuring a fully functional and reliable substation.
Scope of works : The Lisheen Mines Wind Farm, located in County Tipperary, is a key renewable energy project supporting Ireland’s transition to cleaner energy. These infrastructure developments were essential for ensuring the efficient connection of wind-generated electricity to the national grid.
Phase 1 For Phase 1, ESK’s scope of work included the construction of the 20kV substation, site access roads, and associated works.
Phase 2 : Phase 2 infrastructure upgrades focused on associated trenching, ducting, and essential civil works. Our scope included the excavation and installation of ducting systems, construction of plinths and bases, and other critical groundwork to support ongoing site operations.
Scope of works : ESK has completed over 15 ESB loop-in pylon foundations across the country, which are essential for connecting electricity from solar and wind farms to the national grid. Some locations include:
ESK’s scope included the construction of secure pylon foundations, site excavation, steel reinforcement, and concrete pouring, ensuring reliable connections between renewable energy sources and the grid. We work closely with electrical teams to deliver these foundations seamlessly.
Scope of works : This project involved non-intrusive inspections of steel towers on the Cashla-Prospect, Cashla-Tynagh, and Killonan-Shannonbridge 220 kV Circuits. A sample of towers from each overhead line was inspected, focusing on verifying tower types, assessing the condition and alignment of foundations, and measuring tower dimensions. The inspections also evaluated ground conditions, potential hazards, and the condition of the above-ground substructure, particularly at the steel tower leg/shear block interface, ensuring the overall integrity of the towers and their foundations.
