Murroe WWTP

Scope of Works: ESK carried out key infrastructure upgrades, including the construction of a Stormwater Holding Tank to manage peak flows and an overflow system to prevent overloading during heavy rainfall. Controlled Storm Overflow (CSO) mechanisms were implemented to regulate discharge and ensure environmental compliance. Flow measurement systems were installed to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, ESK constructed a mains water booster station for stable water pressure and developed a 6-cell sludge drying reedbed system to support sustainable waste management.

Adamstown WTP

Scope of Works: As part of the €19 million redevelopment of Adamstown Water Treatment Plant, partnered with Glanua to deliver critical infrastructure upgrades, enhancing the plant’s capacity and efficiency. Our scope of work included excavation, drainage installation and concrete structures. With a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and precision civil engineering, we played an important role in modernising the facility to meet future water demand while ensuring successful project execution.

Portroe WWTP

Scope of Works: ESK successfully completed the redevelopment of Portroe wastewater treatment plant, upgrading infrastructure to enhance efficiency and compliance with environmental standards. The project involved extensive excavation, installation of new drainage systems, stormwater tanks, and manholes, as well as reinforced concrete works. All material deliveries, plant operations, and lifting activities were carefully managed to ensure safety and minimal disruption. Through thoughtful planning and execution, we delivered a high-quality, sustainable WWTP upgrade, meeting all regulatory requirements and client expectations.

Pallasgreen WWTP

Scope of Works: ESK successfully delivered key infrastructure upgrades at Pallasgreen wastewater treatment plant, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Works included the removal of a steel sludge tank, excavation and backfilling of underground concrete tanks, and installation of a precast tank and sump system. A new palisade fencing system was installed for site security, while strict safety measures such as sheet piling, controlled lifting operations, and surface water management were implemented. Throughout the project, ESK maintained a strong focus on environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and the seamless integration of all works within the operational facility.

Freshwater Storage Lagoon

Scope of Works: ESK constructed a 16-million-litre freshwater storage lagoon with a strong focus on environmental protection. Using recycled soils, the lagoon was seamlessly integrated into the existing valley to minimise disruption. The project also included stormwater, drainage, and sewer infrastructure to ensure effective water management and long-term sustainability.
