ESK completed a new 38KVA station serving the town of New Ross for the ESB in conjunction with Gaeltec utilities which became live in 2021 replacing the old Station.
ESK have completed 10 electricity pylons so far this year on the national grid for private and public entities to facilitate the connection of new sub-stations to the Gid. The sub-structure works were all undertaken working beneath the live overhead lines working under designed height restriction. ESK has completed works to Meta substation and in 2022 ESK completed the civil engineering works in Lisheen 110KVA to sub divide the station for future connections.

ESK takes great pride in its pivotal role in the Monaraha solar project, a significant endeavour in the Irish renewable energy initiative. Situated at Monaraha, east of Cahir Co. Tipperary, this initiative features a cutting-edge 24MWdc solar farm spanning 80 acres. The project’s impressive output translates to providing the energy needs of 5,063 homes annually.

ESK was responsible for constructing a 38kV substation on the perimeter of the solar farm, as well as a 300m transmission line which links this clean energy to the grid. This undertaking underscores our unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions by constructing the essential infrastructure pivotal for transitioning to a green future.
